Children usually don’t brush regularly and if they do so then they do not brush the teeth properly. They leave the back and corners of teeth. If these areas are not cleaned for longer time then bacteria starts accumulating on it causing dental problems. You need to develop the habit of washing teeth at least twice a day among your children once in the morning and other before going to sleep.
If your child is less than 7 years of age then prefer using Fluoride toothpaste as dental specialists recommend it for younger children. The children should no use toothpaste more than the size of a pea so this is also your responsibility to tell them that they should apply small amount of toothpaste on the brush. Here you also need to consider one thing. Does not use the same toothbrush for more than a month as an average brush have a useful life of 30 to 50 days not more then it.
It is always good to have a regular checkup of your child especially during the growing age when they are more prone to dental problems.
